More buyers now ask ChatGPT, Gemini or Perplexity who to hire before they ever search Google. Here's a quick way to see where you stand.

• Write 5 questions a customer would really ask, like "best emergency plumber in Austin".
• Ask each one in ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity.
• For every answer, note: were you named, who was named instead, and which websites were cited.

The cited websites matter most. If a competitor keeps showing up, it's usually because they're on a list, directory or Reddit thread the AI reads, and you're not. That's your to-do list.
